• Internal Compliance Department which serves to ensure strict controls to every aspect of service and adherence to all state, federal and contractual requirements.  Our internal diligence standards far exceed those found in the CFR.  We stay abreast of regulation changes and communicate with others in the student loan community to make navigating the constantly changing collection landscape easier for our clients.  Our industry involvement includes, but is not limited to, memberships and affiliations within the student loan community, enrollment in web site updates on regulations and rules specific to the student loan portfolios, as well as internal communication between operations, customer service, collection personnel and compliance to guarantee accurate and sustained policies and procedures

• A dedicated client service representative that will become familiar with your needs and be available when you need them.  UCB knows that to be successful we must boast a supporting staff that works hard to maintain our position as the premier provider of student loan programs in the higher education market.  Each member of this division is trained specifically to work with student loans.  Upon completion of specific student loan industry training, a collection team is then dedicated to each client.  The members of these collection teams are then trained on client-specific initiatives for your borrower accounts. 

• Selection and Training.  UCB utilizes the Assessment Technologies Group Skill and Personality Testing to provide a platform for enhanced effectiveness in facilitating the selection and development of the right people for our organization.  This allows UCB to dedicate the right individual to collect on your student accounts.  Selection is then tied with our training program that is built around the vision, techniques and processes as described within the American Society for Training & Development's (ASTD) methodology and principles.  ASTD is the world's largest association dedicated to workplace learning and performance professionals' information.  We have then coupled this extensive training program modeled from ASTD, the ACA and FDCPA to ensure our employee's successful career and long-term commitment to your institution.

• Unparalleled Legal Services.  During the collection process, if a collector is unable to collect on the account that meets the necessary assets or income level that warrants legal action, UCB is willing to do so.  UCB provides legal and litigation options to our clients at the lowest account balance possible.  Litigation of accounts is an agreed upon procedure within the contractual document with our client.  We understand that each client has a unique relationship with its student boyd, which, in turn, assists you in determining the appropriate legal procedures.
